2015 WINTER Yukon Event

January 16 – 19, 2015 Winter Yukon

The North Dakota Royal Rangers - Winter Yukon Event – is a nice, easy, fun outing, especially for the boys and their Leaders. Instead of sleeping outside in tents, we sleep in heated cabins. All of the meals are provided and served to you. There are plenty of organized and informal winter activities for the boys. To top off each day, a premier speaker highlights the evening rallies. Held on the spacious grounds in North Dakota Resort Camps the event is usual open to all organized Royal Ranger Outposts, Youth Groups and Fathers/Son Church Organizations their members, their leaders.

Each cabin is equipped with beds and mattresses. Every person must bring their own sleeping bag or sheets, blankets and a pillow. Each group will be assigned a cabin with their indicated preference taken into consideration. Some groups may need to share cabin space with another group. Modern bathrooms and shower facilities are provided for each group of cabins. Some Cabins may have to walk a short distance from their cabin to the bathrooms though this is not likely to occur.

All of the meals are provided and are served "family" style in a large dining hall or fellowship area. The food at Winter Tukon is one of the highlights of Winter Camp ... it is great! You wont be served Hotdogs but excellent Man Sized meals And, there will be plenty of food, so nobody goes hungry.

A special evening rally will be featured both Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. There will also be a Sunday morning service. Winter Camp is a unique time of ministry. Unlike most Royal Ranger outings where there may not be comfortable conditions for the Event Goers to hear and respond to the gospel message, the services at Winter Camp are held in a warm, rustic, and comfortable building. The altar services at Winter Camp are special times of ministry. Our Special Speakers and storytellers will challenge every camper in their walk with Christ. Make sure that YOUR Pastor counts you as present and being in a Sunday morning service. The services length will vary and are Subject to change as the Events schedule is very flexible, like wise throughout the whole event we wish to allow the Holy Spirit to have his way and direct the events flow.

The natural outdoor winter time activities at Camp are abundant!. Snow Shoeing will be available (snow permitting) for a small charge which will include the equipment rental and a free lesson for the Event Merits. Participants can bring their own sleds, ice skates, cross country and downhill ski equipment with them. Off-site downhill skiing may also be an optional activity.  There is ice fishing on the lake – North Dakota fishing license required (age 16 and older). There will also be plenty of indoor activities provided. Board games, ping pong in the Game Room, Pool and basketball in the Activity Center, and other games will be available. Video game consoles and TV are allowed to be brought to came we ask that games being brought be screened by Group Leaders prior to attending, Likewise laptops, tablet and smart phones are welcome at the event also.
